About us

Who we are

VisionHill is a not for profit, non religious, non-political, community organization started in 2012 to create an environment for Rwandans, friends of Rwandans and friends of Rwanda to meet, connect, think and thrive through innovative programs and events. We work with other organizations and groups with shared interest to organize events and implement programs and initiatives that stimulate the culture of sharing, entrepreneurship, leadership and solidarity. Having started from Oklahoma where events, workshops, cookouts, were organized to learn from one another, with invited speakers and members sharing about projects, initiatives and experiences. In 2018 a greater Chicago Chapter was created along with other different programs and initiatives. The focus is on professionals and students, but welcomes everyone. At the end of the day, we would like to be a virtual community that brings people who at times have to live in different cities and states to not only strengthen connection to one another but to Rwanda and to the community where we live.

To serve as the nexus for strengthening our personal, professional and community links with our associates, friends, relatives, countries of origins and our new homes through actionable programs and initiatives that entertain, educate and advance

Visionhill Oklahoma Chapter was started as an initiative to meet and discuss projects and organizations and to stimulate entrepreneurship and stewardship.

2 members of VisionHill participate in ELE Rwanda Business Competition and come in the 5 places

Decided to have standardized meetings per year

Organized first every Hackathon to build VisionHill.org

Visionhill Capital was Launched for member who are interested in entrepreneurship to come together, pull their resources together and invest together.

 Visionhlll 5 years sustainability campaign was successfully executed raising operational funds to support the organization for the next 5 years

Visionhill High School Support Program was launched and started supporting one student with 7 individual supporting the scheme until the student graduates for high school
